Tweed and District Horticultural Society ushered in the holiday season with their annual Christmas potluck dinner at the December meeting. Tables covered in cherry red tablecloths and decorated with beads and poinsettia plants created a festive atmosphere.
As always, members demonstrated their talent in the cooking areas with a variety of main course dishes-meatballs, quiche, veggie trays, salads and casseroles. And of course, the dessert table was laden with delicious treats-pies, cookies, tarts, cakes, squares-a great variety that certainly satisfied the sweet tooth everyone seems to have during the holiday season!
Members enjoyed Linda Holmes’ power point presentation that highlighted the speakers and club activities during 2024. Many thanks to Linda for continuing to coordinate this presentation as it is always enjoyed by the members.
Lots of laughter and the sounds of quarters dropping into cups could be heard as members bid on a variety of prizes in the “Quarter Frenzy” game. Some members were lucky, others not so much but everyone had fun playing!
